In the space of 11 days, Infinity have secured the League and Cup double, capping a successful season overall.
Infinity 4 – 2 Fittleworth
The league title was won with a 4-2 win over Fittleworth at Boxgrove.
Then, after a week out to play in the Charity Fours, Infinity returned to Westergate for the KO Cup and Plate finals day.
Infinity 36 – 28 Southbourne
Having been drawn against Southbourne in the first match, Infinity ran out winners overall by 8 points. This result meant playing Downsman in the final.
Infinity 43 – 26 Downsman
With Infinity starting strongly on one mat but struggling on the other, it took time for the match to settle. Peter’s rink then had a wobbly few ends, but recovered form whilst Steve’s rink found their true form and closed the points difference in dramatic fashion. The match was all but over before the final ends were played.
